HAVELSAN, a company that produces military technologies, has announced that they are entering the gaming industry. They are working on a new war FPS game called “Malazgirt” and have recently announced a partnership with Epic Games for its release. The game is set to use the Unreal Engine game engine.
HAVELSAN’s “Malazgirt” FPS Game to Feature Realistic Military Platform Simulation
The first phase of the project has been completed, and HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar has announced that they are moving on to the second phase. Nacar has also shared that they are modeling platforms such as Bayraktar TB2, HürJet, and MMU.
Nacar believes that by creating a game environment with realistic simulations of military platforms, they can provide benefits in training and education. He hopes that Turkish game companies will focus on more serious games, such as war games, to contribute to the development of domestically produced platforms.
Epic Games is also interested in creating their own portal and has brought together several companies to develop games simultaneously on the Unreal Engine. This collaboration could lead to increased communication between companies in the gaming industry.
